Pollinators and Powerlines Forest Park, Oregon
BPA and two local government agencies, Metro and the City of Portland Parks and Recreation, joined forces in 2016 to enhance pollinator habitat in Forest Park. BPA rights-of-way, which cross the park, create opportunities to increase habitat for pollinators through the planting of native shrubs, forbs and grasses that local pollinators rely on for food and reproduction.

Rather than creating a modern Prometheus, BPA’s ...

This is an exemplary depiction of how cooperation, and teamwork can overcome multiple and varied hazards even with the limited technology of the early 90s. This also exemplifies how critical maintaining proper procedure is in emergency situations. I have to say there are many current FDs that should be viewing this for training (Garfield, NJ for example), and some current FDs that are a perfect example of this exact cooperation and teamwork such as the FDNY. No matter what the situation this shows that cooperation and preparation are extremely important as is execution. This was an excellent job, and all involved hopefully were commended for their role in this.

Idaho, Washington. Oregon, and California quorentine for zebra mussel so does Montana and Wyoming. If you come from Lake Mead or Lake Powell your getting stopped we don't allow boats that don't have the Pacific Northwest permit sticker into our waters. If you boat has a tag for Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, or any of the Great Lakes states you are not allowed in our waters your boats have been exposed to sea water and calcium chloride and if they launch into our waters algae, Asian kelp, and zebra mussel will grow. Clean your boat and do not bypass any Pacific Northwest or CEPA checkpoint! You launch your boats into our waters they will shut down every dam on the Snake, Columbia, and Willamette rivers. Do Not Bring Barnacle Boats into Idaho!

I live in eastern Washington state and it is fascinating to see the history of this project that transformed this part of the country. This spirit of optimism and hard work is almost unimaginable today. Many take for granted the comfort and prosperity we enjoy today and have no appreciation for where we came from and the incredible efforts it took to get here. Some are even trying to remove the dams.

Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

Power lines (which are fire a hazard) are not needed for home scale autonomous power systems. Leonardo Corporation CEO Andrea Rossi to ship zero-point energy products when pre-orders reach $250M. These devices can be pre-ordered for as little as $25 each for the 10 Watt unit. Inter-connected units can produce power of any magnitude. Mega-watt size units are available. An electric vehicle powered by zero point energy will be demonstrated in October in Italy by Andrea Rossi of the Leonardo Corporation. Brilliant Light Power licensed technology which can produce home-scale energy for $0.001 per Kilo-Watt-Hour. Power lines are a fire safety hazard and have been obsolete for fifty years.
